Whether you're a long-time waxer or a first-timer, I promise you are in good hands! (Please read my reviews on here and also on google!) ~*~LOCATION ~*~ I'm in the same parking lot as Cutters Point*** You will receive a text and email with a link to my location after booking. Please use the address link provided within the text/email to navigate to my location, as Google Maps is not usually accurate if you type in my business name. (I sometimes miss the 90's when we printed off the directions 😌) ~*~ ABOUT ME! ~*~ My name is Christina, Born in March of 1985 and raised in Washingtin state in the small town of Snoqualmie, I would have been class of 2003, but I got my GED and joined the Army instead in 2002 at 17 years old! Since my business is so close to the military base and I see a lot of military clients I feel it's great to share my military background Basic Training - Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri AIT- at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland as a 63J (working in the motor pool on generators and water purification systems) Airborne School - Fort Benning Georgia (the only place to go) Then, of course, I had to go to "The Home Of The Airborne" good ol' Fort Bragg (now named Fort Liberty) 44th MEDCOM - 57th MedEvac unit "DUSTOFF" and they were getting ready to deploy to Iraq. OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM: Tikrit, Iraq (Camp Spiker) April 2003-June 2004 (some of the hardest yet most character building months of my life after just turning 18 only 2 weeks prior) Left the Army in 2005 and returned back to Washing State to start school to be an Aesthetician, which is how I got to where I am now 😀 ------------------------------- ~*~FAQ~*~ ***BEFORE YOUR WAX*** There are a few things you can do to prepare and make the process more comfortable: 1. **Hair Length:** Ensure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long (usually the length of a grain of rice), which is necessary for the wax to grip the hair effectively. 2. **Exfoliation:** Gently exfoliate the area a day or two before your wax to remove dead skin cells and help the wax adhere better to the hair. 3. **Hydration:** Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, which can make the waxing process less painful. Also, avoid caffeine as it can make you more sensitive. 4. **Avoid Sun Exposure:** Avoid tanning or sunburnt skin before your wax, as it can increase sensitivity and the risk of irritation. 5. **Pain Relief:** Consider taking a pain reliever such as ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment to help reduce discomfort. 6. **Clean Skin:** Ensure the area to be waxed is clean and free of oils, lotions, or deodorants. 7. **Relax:** Try to relax before your appointment to make the experience more comfortable. ------------------------------ ***WAXING AFTERCARE*** After getting a wax, it's important to follow proper aftercare to keep your skin smooth and healthy. Here are some recommendations: 1. **Avoid Heat:** Avoid hot baths, saunas, hot tubs, sunbathing, or tanning/spray tanning for at least 24 hours after your wax, as heat can irritate your skin. 2. **Loose Clothing:** Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction and irritation in the waxed area. 3. **Moisturize:** Make sure you keep the area moisturized (after a Brazilian wax- on the "mound area," I recommend Jojoba oil on a daily basis.) I also have a mixture of oils that are available for purchase that I highly recommend for moisturuzing and antibacterial properties if you desire. 4. **Exfoliate:** After a few days, gently exfoliate the waxed area to prevent ingrown hairs. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub or mitt. Some people do better with a chemical exfoliant, which is available for purchase if needed or desired. 5. **Avoid Touching:** Avoid touching the waxed area to prevent irritation and infection. Please be aware that 2-3 days after your first wax, you can sometimes experience small white bumps that look like pimples. This happens if bacteria gets into the skin after waxing. Since the waxed area is like an open wound for about 3 days, you need to keep the area clean. Not everyone experiences these bumps, but if you do please know that they will go away within 3-4 days and once your skin gets accustomed to waxing (usually 2-3 times, at no more than 5 weeks apart) you will not experience the bumps. 6. **Avoid Tight Clothing:** Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction and irritation in the waxed area. 7. **Avoid Sweat:** Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that may cause sweating immediately after waxing and up to 24 hours, as sweat can irritate the skin. 8. **Avoid Sun Exposure:** Avoid direct sun exposure to the waxed area for at least 24 hours, as it can increase sensitivity and the risk of sunburn. 9. **Avoid Harsh Products:** Avoid using harsh products, such as perfumed lotions or scrubs, on the waxed area, as they can irritate the skin. 10. **Keep Clean:** Keep the waxed area clean and dry to prevent infection. Do not take hot showers or baths for at least 24 hours. I do recommend Teatree oil for the first 3 days after waxing since it is a natural antibacterial product and does not irritate the skin. ~*~ CONTACT ME ~*~ Please do not hesitate to text or call me at 360-999-1730 if you have any questions or concerns prior to or after your waxing services. Please note that texting will usually allow for a quicker response time. Thank you for supporting my small business, and I look forward to meeting you and helping you maintain smooth skin!
